This cluster map was for the year 2009 and i would be confident to say that the number of people using Facebook has grown significantly since this map was created. As you can see Americans take up the majority of the 800 million active users currently on Facebook. There are also large numbers of facebook users in western europe. Look at South America why are all the Facebook users living along the coast? Because the Amazon rainforest is in the middle and it makes it almost impossible to live there never mind get internet reception.
